Christmas memories 2015

First, we had Holy supper at Mike's parents. Then, I wanted a few photos before we went to Christmas liturgy.
The kids did pretty well this year. We decided to have them dressed up (at least at the start) instead of just going in jammies like we've done in years past. Emmett and Michael fell asleep before church even started. Michael slept the entire time - but unfortunately Emmett found his second wind. The girls did well, but were definitely tired and slept in until almost 8:30 Christmas morning as a result!

Christmas morning! You can see who was the first one up!

Our pretty Vera Wang china brought out for Christmas brunch.

Presents!

Louisa's favorite gift was something from her stocking - it was just a watch! But she totally loves it. It's funny, Michael and Josie will periodically ask her what time it is now :)

Aw, Emms. I miss you being this little!

The kids got lots of new play dough. Their favorite!

Happy Christmas from our family to yours!

St. Nicholas party '15

My Josie girl!

There is always a nice craft to work on.

The feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe is also in December!

With nana!

Awww, tired babe.

Michael with a little friend coloring

Our parish hall is too little so for our Christmas party/St. Nicholas party every year we rent out a big hall downtown.

So fancy!
It's hard to get a bad photo of this girl.

The angels waiting for their turn in the play (they are responsible for showing the between scenes signs)

Being instructed on what to do when St. Nicholas is declared a Saint in the play

Saint Nicholas! The Wonderworker!

Emmett and his adorable friend, Martha hanging out backstage.

The "real" St. Nicholas then joins the children and hands out gifts! But first, he asks them a question about the faith. Michael's question was: Can you name one of the archangels? :)

Emmett's question was, "How do you honor your mother and father?" (Emmett then blew daddy a kiss. Seriously so cute.)
Josie was asked to recite the Angel of God prayer

Louisa's question was, "Who did Mary go and visit when she was pregnant with Jesus?"
(her cousin Elizabeth)

Well, that's another happy and successful Saint Nicholas party with our church family. One of my favorite days of the year!

St. Nicholas of Myra, pray for us!
