Wow I'm on a blogging roll this week!

Emmett and I both have huuuuuuge foreheads. Oh yes we do.
I took these the other day on daddy's phone. His phone is connected to Google plus and it will sometimes send him emails doing cool things with the photos he takes on his phone. Just automatically. I think it's pretty neat-o but so far I've been to lazy to figure out how to get mine to connect to Google to do the same thing...? It's probably for the better. I take about 1000x as many photos with my phone than Mike does so I might be even more overwhelmed than I already am with choosing (and trying hard to be selective) which photos to share on social media. So...it might not seem like it but I really do use restraint!

My mom got me this key rack when I was baptized my junior year in college. I've used it ever since, but since it's one of those household items you always see, you don't really see it too much. But for some reason, this week I glanced up at it and felt touched by God's love for a moment.
It's really true in my life. Mike and I try to orient our lives toward our faith and with our salvation in mind whenever we make decisions. We are trying to live a holy life...even though it's rather difficult much of the time. But when we think of what the Lord would want us to do, I feel like He always blesses us and guides us. Even when we imperfectly follow Him, He knows we are trying! I am so grateful for a loving Father who looks upon our efforts with so much love for us.

Mike took this picture of our firstborn son this morning and I thought it was so cute.
He keeps growing and growing and it's makin' my mama's heart hurt. Three years old! What? No.
I remember Michael's birth-day so vividly. I remember how he was 9lbs 5ounces and I couldn't believe it! I remember how amazing that epidural was ;) And I just remember holding him and being taken aback by how much fierce love came out of me even with my third child - my first son. Sometimes I just look at him and practically want to shout "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MY SON!" (okay, sometimes I do :)

I'm also pretty in love with these other two fellas in my life!
Emmett has been very tricky at night lately. He's cutting four enormous molars all at once, poor dude. But he wakes up about 3 times to nurse (which is a lot for us since he had been basically sleeping through the night up until a couple of months ago) Most days he wakes up at 7 - 7:15am, which of course isn't ridiculously early, but with the other kids sleeping until 8, it would be nice if he joined them.
I've also been staying up way too late with Mike and we really would like to try and go to bed earlier. It is so hard to! We want to enjoy some time together alone, watch a movie, have a snack, just hang out with one another. I know that's a good thing- I mean, we do like each other. But when we are consistently staying up until 12:30-1a.m, it starts to wear on us. I know my immune system is way down right now :(
I think we need to set some specific goals up and see what we can do. I have really been noticing how tired I get in the afternoons and need to cut back on my caffeine intake as well!

Happy in the backyard, 10-16. Barefoot and eating Popsicle. Pretty nice, I say!
(I do believe the rain will be coming this weekend and the temps will be dropping. Good thing I got a bunch of yardwork done this week and got a bunch of toys/yard furniture put away for the winter!)
The story of Planned Parenthood this summer has kept me on the edge of my seat. You can't even understand how closely I followed this story as it unfolded. Please read
this article about the main instigator of it all, David Daledin (who by the way is 26 years old). It had me breathless. It is really remarkable what he was able to do, and just how much of his life (30 months) he invested into his work. And now, I'm sure his life will never be the same. He is a hero for the pro-life movement. To be able to expose Planned Parenthood in such a thorough way, they never saw it coming...
